Pet Abroad
Please be aware of a fact that it is not easy to travel Rabies Free Countries / Areas with dogs from North America. These Rabies Free Areas normally require proof in advance and quarantine. Most airlines are not allowed to accept pets in Cabin or Baggage via these area, but Cargo such as Air Canada Cargo, United Cargo, NorthWest Cargo, Continental's QUICKPAK, and AA Cargo could help your pets to travel as a live stock. The situation may change. Please contact with Airlines and Cargo case by case. Certified Service Dogs are exceptional and no transportation fee in most airlines. Please ask each airline before booking your flight.

USA (except Hawaii & Guam ) | • A rabies vaccination certificate with expiration date of vaccinnation issued by veterinarian at least 30 days before their arraival. • Without expiration date on the certificate, dogs could be accepted as long as they were vaccinated within 12 months before before the date of arrival. • Puppy, less than 3 months of age, until being vaccinated against rabies, must be confined at a place of the owner’s choosing, which can be a private residence, . The puppy will then have to stay in confinement for another 30 days following the vaccination. |

| Rabies Free Countries / Areas | Canada | • An Export certificate containing 2 specific paragraphs issued by an official government veterinarian in the country of origin • If the Export certificat is not efficiant, dog could be vaccinated against rabies within a specified period of time and to provide the vaccination certificate to an inspector with the owner's expense. • The Export certificate for dogs that were oribinaly from Canada and return from a country designated as having been free from rabies for 6 months and dogs leaving a quarentine imposed by the exporting country before that quarantine period is completed. • Puppies less than 3 months of age do need nigther the export certificate nor vaccination for rabies. |
